Highlighting one of our awesome crew, Josh! He's been part of the team for more than 4 years now, and we caught up with him to learn more about how he gets the job done!
His favourite container to load is 25 kilogram peas into 40-foot containers. "The boxes are quite large, so it doesn't take long to finish the container," he says. The forklift work keeps him motivated; there's always something to do and he enjoys the pace of getting containers finished.
What Josh values most about Oak Tree is straightforward: "The early finish if we go hardout. It allows me the rest of the day to do whatever I want." When it comes to advice for new team members, he's clear: get your forklift licence and take your time on the job. "Don't rush, whether on the forks or inside the container, that's when accidents happen." He's also the one keeping everyone laughing on site, like the time he told a new Oak Tree worker they had eight more 40-foot containers to do after finishing their current one, only to reveal he was having them on.
